The PLAYdifferently MODEL 1 (often written PLAYdifferently 1) is a professional, fully analogue six-channel DJ and performance mixer designed for club, live-performance, and production use. It uses a fully balanced mix bus, high-voltage analogue rails, zero-crossing circuitry, studio-grade 60 mm faders, per-channel input-drive control, hybrid filter/swept-bell EQ, independent high- and low-pass channel filters, dual independent headphone cue systems, master resonant filters, master and booth EQ, and mixer-link facilities. The mixer provides six stereo input channels, two stereo send/return paths, three phono-capable channels, balanced multichannel Tascam DB25 connectivity, balanced master output, booth output, and a front-panel record output. PLAYdifferently continues to publish product documentation and does not appear to have issued an official end-of-life statement; however, available evidence indicates that it is no longer readily available new from mainstream retailers.
