The Pioneer SA-1000 is a high-end integrated stereo amplifier manufactured in Japan from 1971 to 1972. Renowned for its robust build quality and warm, tube-like sound, it delivers continuous power of 47-67W per channel into 8 ohms and up to 94W into 4 ohms, with dynamic power reaching 170-240W. It includes versatile inputs such as Phono MM/MC, ceramic phono, tuner, aux, tape, and microphone, plus features like independent bass/treble controls, selectable filters, loudness contour, muting, and center channel output. The pre- and power amplifier sections are separable via Pre In/Pre Out jacks. Housed in a silver finish with wooden case options, it weighs 12.8kg and measures 430 x 145 x 337mm. No longer manufactured, it remains a sought-after classic among vintage audio enthusiasts, often praised for its smooth, rich sound and reliability after servicing.
