The Pioneer PDR-509 is a stereo hi-fi compact disc recorder/player released in 1999 by Pioneer Corporation, Tokyo. It supports playback and recording of CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs with two-channel stereo sound. The unit features a metal case bookshelf design with dimensions 420 x 105 x 300 mm. It offers a playback signal-to-noise ratio of up to 112 dB (EIAJ) and a dynamic range of 98 dB, with very low total harmonic distortion (THD) of 0.0017% to 0.002% depending on region.
