Released around late 2008, the Pioneer Elite BDP-05FD is a premium Blu-ray player known for its excellent build quality and advanced audio/video features. It offers 7.1-channel analog audio outputs with high-end Wolfson digital-to-analog converters for all channels, enabling high-fidelity sound. The player supports Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio bitstreams and includes Pioneer's PQLS jitter-reduction technology when paired with compatible receivers.
