About the LPT
The Pink Triangle LPT, also known as the Little Pink Thing, is a belt-drive turntable introduced around 1990 as an entry-level model based on design principles from the higher-end PT TOO. Despite its lower price, it was engineered with great attention to detail, delivering excellent neutrality and sound quality comparable to more expensive turntables. It features a manual operation with 33 and 45 rpm speeds, a wow and flutter of 0.1%, and rumble of 74 dB. The LPT is praised for its depth, transparency, and neutrality, making it a strong contender in its price range. Over the years, it has responded well to upgrades such as improved power supplies and motors, enhancing bass definition and midrange openness. The turntable is constructed with thick MDF components and typically comes with a Rega arm mount. It remains highly regarded for its musicality and accuracy, often compared favorably to more costly models. The LPT is no longer manufactured but is still sought after in the used market for its quality and value.
