The Phison A2.120 SE stereo power amplifier offers 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 220 watts into 4 ohms, with the ability to bridge to 300 watts into 8 ohms. It uses a classic linear power supply with substantial transformers to ensure superior bass performance compared to switch-mode power supplies. The amplifier employs a combination of JFET and bipolar transistors in its gain stages, with 14 bipolar transistors per channel in the output stage to handle bridged operation without saturation. The design features a current feedback output stage preceded by a voltage feedback gain stage, and the bandwidth is limited to 330 kHz to maintain stability. The amplifier weighs approximately 26-28 kg and has dimensions around 440 x 140 x 350 mm. It supports both RCA and XLR inputs and is built with a modular interior and clean Scandinavian exterior design.
