About the P-3G

The PhaseTech P-3G is a high-end moving coil (MC) phono cartridge designed for audiophile vinyl playback. It features a cantilever made of light and highly rigid pure boron, an electric generator with 6N oxide-free copper wires, and a pure iron coil bobbin with high saturation magnetic flux density. The magnetic circuit uses purmendur materials and a samarium-cobalt magnet to create a stable magnetic field. The base is made of duralumin treated with Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) to achieve a surface hardness equivalent to diamond, providing high rigidity and excellent vibration damping. The cartridge has a low output voltage of more than 0.27 mV at 1 kHz, an impedance of 4 ohms, and a frequency response range from 10 Hz to 30 kHz. It requires a needle pressure of 1.7 to 2.0 grams and is designed to be used with a low impedance MC transformer or head amplifier. The P-3G comes with a wood box and screws and is praised for its rich musical expression and precise manufacturing without molds to minimize unwanted vibrations.
