About the EA1000
The Phasemation EA-1000 is a three-box tube phono amplifier system featuring separate monoblock units for the left and right channels and a dedicated powerful power supply unit. The chassis are made of copper-plated steel with thick brushed aluminum faceplates, giving it a retro 1980s aesthetic. It uses a tube type LCR non-feedback design with primary gain stages employing 12AX7 and 12AU7 vacuum tubes and a 5U4G power rectifier tube. The amplifier supports multiple equalization curves including RIAA for stereo and specialized mono curves for UK Decca and Columbia labels, as well as an all-purpose 78rpm curve. The EA-1000 offers gain settings of 39dB for MM cartridges and 59 or 67dB for MC cartridges, with input impedances matched accordingly, likely transformer coupled. It delivers a rated output voltage of 200mV and maintains a deviation from the RIAA curve within ±0.3dB from 20Hz to 20kHz. The output impedance is 750 ohms. The unit is known for its high resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio, and ability to reproduce music with overwhelming liveliness and a well-defined soundstage. The amplifier is
