The PBN Audio WAS-2 is a premium floorstanding loudspeaker designed to deliver exceptional sound quality in large rooms. It features ultra-long throw subwoofers powered by a 1 kW Ice Power subwoofer amplifier, two 8-inch mid-woofers with pulp-coated cones and large magnets, two 5.25-inch mid-range drivers with Nextel pulp-coated cones using the Hexadym Magnet system, and a 1.125-inch high-efficiency, low-distortion fabric dome tweeter also utilizing the Hexadym Magnet system. The loudspeaker is designed to be bi-wired or bi-amped, with separate binding posts for the mid-woofers and the tweeter/mid-range drivers. It includes an internal DSP system that can be adjusted using the D-Pro program to balance the amplifier output with external amplifiers. The WAS-2 is a one-piece loudspeaker weighing 405 pounds each and stands at 6 feet 2 inches tall, with metal feet that allow for the installation of spikes for stability.
