About the DP80
The PBN Audio DP80 GrooveMaster Vintage Direct Professional is a meticulously restored and recalibrated turntable based on the legendary Denon DP80 direct-drive model from 1980. It features speeds of 33.333 and 45.000 rpm with an extraordinary speed accuracy of 0.002%, controlled by a bi-directional servo speed control system. The turntable is mounted on a custom-finished solid hardwood plinth made from three laminated layers of selected woods such as walnut, cherry, maple, or oak, providing resonance-free stability and aesthetic appeal. It includes 2-inch ball bearing vibration control footers and can accommodate up to two 10-inch tonearms. The DP80 is a more compact companion to the PBN-DN308 model and retains original Denon motor and platter components, combined with advanced electronics and refined craftsmanship. It is designed to deliver a warm, lustrous vinyl sound with exceptional speed stability and minimal vibration, making it a unique hybrid of vintage and modern technologies for audiophiles seeking sonic brilliance and reliability. Each unit is made to order with customizable wood finishes and tonearm options.
