About the MK2

The Pathos Logos MkII is a hybrid integrated amplifier that combines tube and solid-state technology to deliver the musicality of pure tube amplification with the practicality and power of modern amplifier design. Introduced in 2002 as the first successful tube hybrid amplifier, the original Logos design remained virtually unchanged for over a decade due to its near-perfect execution. The MkII version, released more than ten years later, builds upon this legacy with a redesigned power supply and upgraded tube preamp section while maintaining the iconic aesthetic. The amplifier is entirely hand-assembled in Pathos's factory in Vicenza, Italy, with meticulous attention to detail in every component from PCBs to custom heatsinks. Available in stunning matte metallic black or exotic hand-finished padouk wood, the Logos MkII combines visual artistry with sonic excellence. The fully balanced tube preamp stage uses premium ECC88 tubes in class A configuration, while the MOSFET power stage operates in class AB to deliver substantial power with low noise and exceptional channel balance. The resistive volume control employs a Burr-Brown PGA2310 chip for precise, distortion-free level adjustment without electronic artifacts.
