About the Xono
The Pass Labs Xono is a high-end phono preamplifier designed for use with both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges. It features extremely low noise and distortion, high adjustable gain, high output swing, variable cartridge loading, and balanced output. The Xono uses three stages of circuitry and is known for its precise RIAA response, with an accuracy of ±0.1 dB across the 20-20 kHz frequency range. It offers gain settings of 40 dB for MM cartridges and up to 76 dB for MC cartridges when using balanced output. The device is designed by Wayne Colburn and is backed by a three-year warranty from Pass Laboratories. It consumes 20 watts of power and has dimensions of 17 inches wide, 11.5 inches deep, and 3.5 inches high, weighing 46 pounds.
