About the XA100.5

The Pass Labs XA100.5 is a pure Class A solid-state monoblock power amplifier rated at 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts into 4 ohms. It provides balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs, 26 dB gain, 30 kΩ balanced and 20 kΩ single-ended input impedance, a damping factor of 200, and frequency response extending from approximately 1.5 Hz to 100 kHz. Total harmonic distortion is specified at 1% at 1 kHz and full power. The amplifier uses a single chassis and measures approximately 19 inches wide by 9.2 inches deep by 21.5 inches high, with a listed weight of about 110 pounds. Its substantial Class A biasing results in high power consumption and significant heat output during operation.
