About the X0.2

The Pass Labs X0.2 is a premium three-chassis line stage preamplifier featuring a dual mono design and a separate power supply chassis to minimize noise interference. It treats all sources internally as balanced signals and offers extensive input/output options including five sets of inputs (both single-ended and balanced) and two sets of outputs, plus a tape loop and unity gain function for home theater pass-through. The power supply uses toroidal transformers with active regulation for each channel and separate regulation for relays and digital circuits. The front panel includes intuitive controls cycling through volume, input, mute, tape, balance, display, mono, unity gain, and amplifier turn-on functions. Sonically, it delivers neutral tonality with tremendous dynamics, articulation, and a spacious soundstage with a slight tube-like bloom. It excels in micro and macro dynamics, linearity, and timbre preservation, making it suitable for orchestral and detailed music reproduction. The unit is built in solid machined aluminum chassis and weighs approximately 75 lbs total across three units. It requires a separate phono preamplifier for turntable use.
