About the INT-30A

The Pass Labs INT-30A is a pure Class A integrated stereo amplifier delivering 30 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms and 60 watts per channel into 4 ohms. It is based on the XA30.5 stereo amplifier and shares design elements with the INT-150 but is biased for Class A operation. The amplifier features a super symmetry MOSFET design with ultra-linear JFET input devices and a low-feedback, fewer-stage configuration for high fidelity sound reproduction. The preamplifier section includes an input relay selector, analog volume control with 1 dB steps, and a Class A FET unity gain buffer. The front panel has a brushed silver faceplate with blue backlit status display, input selectors, mute, and power buttons, plus a tactile volume knob. The rear panel offers multiple inputs including two sets of balanced XLR/RCA and three sets of RCA inputs, along with balanced and unbalanced preamp outputs. Speaker binding posts accept spade terminations and can be modified for banana plugs. The amplifier is known for its smooth mids, agile bass, and expansive soundstage, making it suitable for a wide range of music and high-resolution audio sources. It weighs 60 pounds and measures 19" W x 7" H x 19" D. The INT-30A is no longer in production but remains highly regarded for its pure Class A sound quality and build excellence.
