The Pass Labs Aleph P is the first single-ended Class A audio preamplifier produced by Pass Laboratories, combining innovative design with 25 years of amplifier experience. It features a simple circuit with a single balanced gain stage using power MOSFET transistors operated in common source mode, allowing operation with both balanced and unbalanced inputs and outputs without switches or adapters. The Aleph P minimizes components in the signal path to achieve exemplary objective performance and subjective sound quality. It includes an unregulated 85V power supply with active regulation and passive filtering, constant current sources biasing the gain stages, and muting relays to protect the output during power transitions.
