The Parasound ZAmp v.3 (also referenced as ZC ZAmp V0.3 in some listings) is a versatile, compact half-rack Class AB stereo zone amplifier designed for desktop systems, multi-room audio, custom installations, and small speaker setups. Introduced around 2004 as an upgrade over the Zamp v.2, it provides 45W per channel into 8 ohms or 60W into 4 ohms (20-20kHz, 0.07% THD, both channels driven), and can be bridged for 90W mono into 8 ohms. Featuring fully discrete direct-coupled DC servo circuitry, high-speed bipolar output transistors, and a high-quality toroidal power transformer, it ensures audiophile-grade performance in a space-saving 1U half-width chassis. Key features include automatic on/off via 12V trigger or audio signal sensing, front-panel headphone jack, rear looping RCA outputs, independent channel level controls, gold-plated RCA inputs and 5-way binding posts, protection and thermal indicators, and rack-mount compatibility with optional kits.
