About the Seismic 110

The Paradigm Seismic 110 is a compact, high-output powered subwoofer using a single 10-inch, high-excursion mineral-filled co-polymer polypropylene cone driver with Paradigm's inverted, corrugated Santoprene surround and split voice-coil design for very long linear excursion and low distortion. The driver is powered by a patented built-in Ultra-Class-D amplifier rated at 850 watts RMS and 1,700 watts dynamic peak power, incorporating advanced DSP and an Adaptive PWM-type power stage to optimize frequency response, reject power-supply variations, and minimize distortion while maintaining high efficiency. The Seismic 110 uses a sealed cylindrical die-cast monocoque enclosure, which improves structural rigidity and reduces internal standing waves relative to conventional box designs. It offers RCA and balanced XLR line-level inputs (10k ohms and 20k ohms input impedances respectively), a variable low-pass filter from 35 Hz to 150 Hz with bypass, and continuously variable phase from 0 to 180 degrees, and it includes a USB port for use with Paradigm's Perfect Bass Kit room-correction system. Low-frequency extension is specified at 18 Hz (DIN) with an on-axis frequency response of plus or minus 3 dB from 17 Hz to 250 Hz, making it suitable for deep, clean bass in both music and home theater systems despite its small footprint.
