The Paradigm PS-1000 V.2 is a medium-sized powered subwoofer equipped with a single 10-inch polypropylene cone driver and a 130-watt RMS amplifier. It features Paradigm's patented dual-cavity bass shaping (DCBS) enclosure, which is essentially a bandpass design where the woofer fires into a smaller chamber that leads into a larger ported chamber with three rear ports. This design aims to reduce distortion, increase sensitivity, and improve low-frequency extension. The subwoofer includes dial controls for subwoofer level, cut-off frequency (variable low pass between 50-150 Hz), and phase alignment. It has an auto-sensing on/off circuit with soft clipping, line-level and speaker-level inputs, and high-pass 18 dB/octave roll-off outputs at 80 Hz. The enclosure is made of MDF and measures approximately 17" x 19" x 17" (WxHxD), weighing about 42 lbs. It is designed for floorstanding use and offers rich, warm bass with low distortion and exceptional bass extension and definition. The PS-1000 V.2 is made in Canada and is compatible with a wide range of audio systems, providing precise control and accurate sound reproduction for an immersive listening experience.
