About the CC450 Studio

The Paradigm CC-450 is a center channel speaker from Paradigm's Reference Studio series, designed with three drivers in a 2-way configuration and video shielding to reduce interference. It features a 4th order electro-acoustic crossover at 1.5 kHz, ensuring smooth frequency transitions. The speaker delivers a frequency response on-axis of ±2dB from 70 Hz to 22 kHz and ±2dB from 70 Hz to 20 kHz at 30° off-axis. It uses a 25mm (1 inch) PAL™ pure-aluminum dome tweeter with a diecast heatsink chassis and ferro-fluid cooling for high-frequency clarity. The mid/bass section includes two 170mm (6-3/4 inch) MLP™ mica-polymer cone drivers with AVS™ diecast heatsink chassis and 25mm voice coils. The speaker extends low frequency down to 45 Hz (DIN). Sensitivity is rated at 90 dB in room and 87 dB anechoic, with an impedance compatible with 8 ohms. It supports amplifier power from 15 to 175 watts and can handle a maximum input power of 130 watts. The speaker weighs 28 lbs (13 kg) and measures 21.75" H × 8.063" W × 11.5" D (55.2 cm × 20.5 cm × 29.2 cm). It is well-regarded for excellent clarity, neutral midrange, and powerful bass, making it suitable for both home theater and music applications.
