About the Xtreme™ Spade
The Pangea Audio Xtreme™ Spade connectors enhance speaker cable performance with high current flow and low resistance. Machined from 100% tellurium copper and direct-plated with 24 carat gold, they avoid inferior intermediate layers like nickel found in lesser connectors. They feature a patented spring-compression locking mechanism for secure fit on 1/4" or 5/16" binding posts, preventing loosening. Installation options include soldering or using included set screws. Compatible with wire gauges from 10-12 AWG (strip 5/8 inch, twist into spiral) to 14-16 AWG (strip 1.25 inch, form U-shape). Insulation with electrical tape or heat shrink is recommended to prevent shorts. Note: Currently out of stock on the manufacturer's site.
