About the M2200
The M-2200 is a single-channel monoblock amplifier designed for both music and home theater applications. It delivers 200 watts RMS into an 8 ohm load and 300 watts RMS into a 4 ohm load with less than 0.05% total harmonic distortion, providing clean and accurate audio reproduction. Its compact 1.75U (about 2 inches tall) chassis features a robust pancake-style toroidal transformer that enables high power output while running cool without a fan. The amplifier uses a unique dual-topology Class G design for efficiency and low heat. It includes balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, five-way binding posts for speaker connections, and features music sensing circuitry for automatic power on/off. The M-2200 is stackable and suitable for multi-channel setups, bi-amping, or powering passive subwoofers. It weighs approximately 18 pounds and measures about 2" x 17" x 12" (HxWxD). The amplifier is no longer manufactured but remains popular for its value, build quality, and performance.
