The Ortofon SPU Wood A combines Japanese and Danish craftsmanship, featuring a housing made from strong Japanese Beech wood treated with 6000-year-old Urushi lacquer for a dark maroon finish. It delivers a pleasant, open, dynamic, straightforward, and present tone characteristic of SPU cartridges. Designed with the short A-shell, it requires the APJ-1 adaptor for mounting on standard tonearms with universal SME mounts, such as Ortofon TA-110 or TA-210. Ideal for pairing with ST-7 Moving Coil transformer for supreme performance.
