The Ortofon TA-110 tonearm incorporates advanced vibration damping technology using a special rubber compound developed at Ortofon's technical rubber facilities in Nakskov, Denmark. This rubber is inserted into a precision-machined slit in the aluminum armtube, breaking symmetry and significantly reducing unwanted vibrations, especially in the critical 1kHz to 4kHz frequency range. The tonearm is designed for ease of use with adjustable vertical tracking force (VTF) settings and includes a standard headshell connector with an included LH-2000E headshell. It supports cartridge and headshell masses approximately between 20 to 28 grams, with an extra mass ring (45 g) included for heavier combinations such as SPU cartridges. The geometry allows for Baerwald alignment, optimizing tracking error and distortion. The TA-110 is praised for its sonic purity, natural midrange, controlled bass, and smooth highs, making it suitable for discerning analog users seeking high fidelity and reduced listening fatigue.
