About the T30

The Ortofon T-30 is a moving-coil step-up transformer with selectable input loading of 3, 6, 12, 24, or 48 ohms. It provides a 47 kΩ output load with 150 pF capacitance, frequency response from 8 Hz to 90 kHz, and gain settings of 33, 29, 26, 23, or 20 dB, respectively. Channel separation is greater than 55 dB, channel balance is better than 0.2 dB, and the unit measures 40 × 80 × 142 mm. The selectable loading and gain make it suitable for matching a range of low-output moving-coil cartridges.
