The Ortofon SPU Meister Silver GM mkII is a premium moving coil phono cartridge designed for audiophiles seeking exceptional sound clarity and microdynamic detail. It features a high purity multi-conductor 6-nines silver wire (99.9999%) coil winding for an open and revealing high-end presentation. The nude elliptical stylus tip mass is reduced by over 50%, enhancing tracking ability and detail reproduction. The generator system is revised to produce a slightly higher output (0.3 mV at 1 kHz, 5cm/sec) for compatibility with a wider range of MC transformers and active MC preamplifiers. The cartridge body is made from ground wood and resin composite, finished in shiny black, weighing approximately 30 grams.
