About the RS-212D

The Ortofon RS-212D tonearm elevates analog sound reproduction with its dynamic balance graduated vertical tracking force control enabled by a new spring design. It features a short wire spring housed in the pivot case to eliminate unwanted vibrations. The VTF can be precisely adjusted from 0 to 5 grams using the supplied digital force gauge. Anti-skate control is adjustable via a calibrated dial within the same range. The tonearm height and vertical tracking angle (VTA) are easily adjustable at the tonearm base. It includes a detachable headshell and tonearm cable with standard SME-type connectors. The RS-212D uses a Japanese geometry alignment, differing from the Baerwald alignment, which affects tracking angle error points. This tonearm is designed for high stability when tracking warps and other anomalies on vinyl records, making it suitable for audiophiles seeking precise analog playback.
