The Origin Live Encounter Mk4 is a premium tonearm engineered to deliver high-resolution sound from vinyl records. It features dual pivot bearings, which provide very low friction, allowing for greater transparency and musicality compared to other models like the Zephyr arm. This design offers the sonic benefits of uni-pivot arms without their drawbacks, such as fiddly setup and decreased bass performance. The Encounter Mk4 includes an improved headshell, azimuth adjuster, and enhanced VTA (height) adjustment for precise cartridge alignment. It uses a one-piece aluminum arm tube to support the cartridge rigidly while allowing friction-free movement across the record. The tonearm is designed to work well in various systems due to its neutral tonal balance.
