About the Aurora

The Aurora is Origin Live's entry-level belt-drive turntable that inherits key design concepts from the company's high-end decks, giving it a level of musicality and performance that often competes with more expensive models. It uses a high-quality DC motor and outboard electronic speed control to provide stable rotation and low noise, and is supplied with Origin Live's own belt drive system for strong grip and dynamics. The deck accepts a wide range of tonearms via its interchangeable armboard system and is commonly partnered with Origin Live and Rega-type arms, but is not restricted to only 9.5" and 12" lengths. Setup is straightforward using the separate motor controller and strobe-based speed adjustment, though optimal performance still benefits from careful tonearm geometry and vibration control rather than being completely fit-and-forget.
