About the Audio Delphi MKII
The Oracle Delphi MKII turntable, It features significant sonic improvements over the original Delphi, including a quieter and more stable Pabst DC motor with a 1 lb flywheel for better speed accuracy. The turntable uses a thicker base and a new spring suspension system that better prevents acoustic breakthrough, along with a new molybdenum disulphide oil for improved performance. Setup is easier than the original model, with adjustable springs to tune the suspension to different tonearms and a combined cartridge alignment protractor and stroboscope for precise speed setting. Sonically, it ranks close to the VPI HW-19 and is superior in natural sound quality to the SOTA Star Sapphire. However, it has a slight weakness in deep bass response and record damping, typical of freely floating suspension designs, which can slightly reduce midrange life and dynamics.
