About the CD2000 MKIII
The Oracle Audio CD2000 MKIII is a state-of-the-art CD transport designed as a musical instrument to deliver analog-like sound quality. It features a solid state chassis made of brushed aluminum with a clear lacquer coating, and employs a massive aluminum floating chassis combined with a Delrin decoupling system to isolate the CD drive from vibrations. The unique suspension and disc clamping systems, adapted from Oracle's analog turntables, effectively reduce unwanted internal and external vibrations that can degrade sound quality. The CD2000 MKIII uses a Philips CD PRO 2LF laser mechanism and outputs digital audio signals via BNC SP/DIF, XLR AES/EBU, and ST (AT&T) optical interfaces. Its power supply stage has been totally redesigned for improved realism and dynamics, delivering a more analog-like sound. The unit includes an outboard power supply and remote control. Dimensions are 425 x 150 x 363 mm (W x H x D) and it weighs 16 kilograms (35.2 pounds). Power consumption is 13W, and it supports multiple AC voltages (100/117/220/230/240V, 50/60Hz).
