About the CD 2500 IV
The Oracle Audio CD 2500 Mk IV is a state-of-the-art CD player designed as a musical instrument to deliver superior sound quality and durability. It features a new DAC board using the BurrBrown PCM1792 chip, allowing digital data input and output up to 24bit/192kHz. The player uses four independent, fully discrete analog modules for each analog signal from the DAC, enhancing music reproduction quality. It includes a SPDIF digital input, enabling use as a reference DAC for other digital sources. The CD 2500 Mk IV employs a massive aluminum floating chassis with a Delrin decoupling system and unique suspension and disc clamping systems adapted from Oracle's analog turntables to minimize vibration and improve accuracy. The power supply stage has been totally redesigned for better realism and dynamics, achieving a sound closer to true analog. The chassis is made of brushed aluminum with a clear lacquer coating, and the CD mechanism is fully floating and four-point isolated. The player supports high-resolution audio formats including 24/192 WAV native files and PCM studio masters without compression or resolution downgrade. It comes with a removable power cord and remote control, weighs 16 kg, and measures 425 x 150 x 363 mm (WxHxD).
