The Onkyo A-5 is a solid-state integrated amplifier made in Japan between 1976 and 1979. It provides 45 watts per channel into 8 ohms with a total harmonic distortion of 0.08% and a frequency response from 15 Hz to 40 kHz. The amplifier features tone controls with bass and treble adjustments, a mute function, and the ability to separate pre- and power amplifier sections. It has six inputs including two phono inputs (MM and MC compatible), tuner, aux, and two tape inputs, plus three outputs including pre-out and tape outputs. The unit weighs 12.2 kg and measures 444 x 159 x 380 mm. It does not include a remote control and was originally priced around 998 Deutsche Marks.
