About the SPA II SE
The NVO SPA-II/2 Special Edition is a two-chassis, all-valve phono preamplifier designed by Andreas Hadjiminas of New Valve Order Audio in Cyprus. It supports both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges and incorporates 22 vacuum tubes. The input stage uses two Russian 6C45П tubes per channel for low-noise operation; the RIAA section uses 12AX7 stages, followed by a cascaded 12AU7 cathode-follower output stage. Its separate dual-mono power supply employs valve plate regulators, filtering, and star grounding. The main chassis measures approximately 450 × 310 × 125 mm and weighs 7 kg; the power-supply chassis measures approximately 340 × 295 × 85 mm and also weighs 7 kg.
