The NuPrime STA-9 is a compact, bridgeable stereo/mono power amplifier featuring a unique Class A input stage combined with a high-efficiency Class D output section. Derived from the ULCAM design in the IDA-8, it employs enhanced even-order harmonic (H2) circuitry to mimic tube amplifier sound characteristics, providing rich, warm harmonics, exceptional transient speed, and clarity. It supports both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, with a switch for stereo or mono operation. The amplifier uses a 550kHz switching frequency, a linear power supply with toroidal transformer, and vibration-damping isolation feet for optimal performance.
