About the Reference 9 V3 SE
The NuForce Reference 9 V3 SE is an advanced version of the Reference 9 V3 monoblock amplifier, designed to deliver a more neutral, liquid, and relaxed yet powerful soundstage. It features an improved power capacitor board with NuForce's proprietary Sequential Linear Array design and low ESR capacitors. The V3 SE adds sweeter highs without compromising frequency extension, a smoother and more palpable midrange that preserves natural harmonic structure, and bass with tightness, texture, and added weight. The soundstage is more coherent and deeper compared to previous versions. It uses a closed-loop analog switching amplifier design that enhances efficiency, bandwidth, damping, linearity, and signal-to-noise ratio. The V3 SE has a lower gain (21dB) than the V2, making it more compatible with high-quality preamps and reducing noise. Power output is rated at 175 watts RMS into 8 ohms and 335 watts RMS into 4 ohms, with peak power up to 1300 watts at 2 ohms. The amplifier supports both RCA unbalanced and true balanced XLR inputs and is available in black or silver finishes. It is well-regarded for its killer bass, open and transparent midrange, and excellent transient speed and definition. The V3 SE is considered near perfection in Class D amplification and is suitable for driving demanding speakers with high damping factor control.
