The Nottingham Analogue Anna Log turntable is designed to control unwanted resonances through its unique wooden chassis ('log') made from either Sapele or aged Oak. The chassis is constructed by joining timber sections in a rotational fashion to disperse audio frequencies away from the platter. The platter is a gravity spun cast iron with no internal imperfections, featuring a cobalt steel spindle on a special thrust bearing and topped with a 25mm thick graphite mat for damping. Three expansion rings on the platter further reduce resonances. The turntable uses a low-powered motor with special rubber feet tuned to 50Hz to minimize motor resonance. It can accommodate up to two tonearms, including the 10" Ace Space or 12" Ace Anna tonearms, both made with carbon fibre tubes oriented along the length for strength and resonance control. The headshell is aligned directly with the tonearm to ensure balance and reduce uncontrolled resonances. The Anna Log includes the Wave Mechanic power supply, which generates a clean and stable AC signal to improve motor performance and sound quality.
