The Nestorovic Labs Type 5AS MkIII is a tower speaker featuring a unique design with a leaf diaphragm ferrite magnet tweeter, a 4.75" midrange, an 8" upper woofer, and a 10" lower woofer made from thick low-density cellulose material saturated with a proprietary polymer compound. It employs a modified 18dB/octave M-type crossover network and has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms (minimum 4 ohms). The speakers are efficient with a sensitivity of 91 dB and can handle power up to 350 watts. The patented woofer design delivers deep, tight, and well-controlled bass without the need for a subwoofer. The speakers are known for their speed, detail, and transparency, often described as almost panel-like, and they work well with both solid-state and tube amplifiers, though they were voiced with tube amps in mind. The cabinets are sizable at 41" x 15" x 14" and weigh approximately 85 lbs each. Some versions include a rearward-firing super tweeter housed in a small polyhedron-shaped box on top of the main cabinet for enhanced high-frequency dispersion. These speakers are considered legendary and are highly regarded for their midrange and overall sound quality.
