About the LX-5

The Nakamichi LX-5 is a discrete three-head stereo cassette deck supporting Type I, CrO2, and Metal tapes with a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz (Metal tape). It features a 4-digit bidirectional electronic tape counter with memory stop, manual tape-type and EQ selection, off-tape monitoring, a belt-driven dual-capstan transport, and microprocessor-controlled logic for quiet operation. Dolby B and C noise reduction are included.
