About the BX-300

The Nakamichi BX-300 is a 3-head, single compact cassette deck incorporating Nakamichi's Discrete Three Head system and a Direct Drive Asymmetrical, Diffused Resonance Dual Capstan transport, providing Dolby B and C noise reduction. Using a 4-track, 2-channel stereo format at 4.8 cm/s tape speed with separate record, playback, and erase heads driven by three motors, it supports Type I, CrO2, and Metal tapes with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz with metal tape. The deck offers pitch control, variable output level, and adjustable bias for optimizing recordings, and is equipped with full logic transport controls and an MPX filter. It does not have auto-reverse playback.
