About the NSS 333

The Naim NSS 333 is a high-resolution streaming DAC from Naim's New Classic series, designed and built in Salisbury, UK. It features a 5.5-inch color display and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (aptX Adaptive), and Ethernet connectivity. The NSS 333 is Roon Ready and compatible with streaming services including Spotify Connect, Apple Music, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, and internet radio. It supports file formats up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD128. The DAC uses a Burr Brown PCM1791A chip with Naim's proprietary digital filtering and oversampling at 705.6kHz/768kHz to reduce digital noise and jitter. It offers multiple digital inputs (2x USB-A, 1x BNC SPDIF, 1x RCA SPDIF, 2x optical) and outputs (BNC SPDIF, DIN analog, stereo XLR analog, stereo RCA analog). The streamer can be upgraded with the NPX 300 external power supply for improved performance. Control is via the Focal & Naim app or a Zigbee RF remote. The unit weighs 11 kg and measures 43.2 x 9.15 x 31.75 cm. It is noted for its quiet, dynamic sound and high build quality, with galvanic isolation between control and audio circuits to minimize interference. Power consumption is about 18-25W in operation and under 0.5W in standby. The NSS 333 does not include a headphone output and lacks a USB Type B input but supports extensive network and USB storage playback.
