The Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation is a premium compact wireless speaker from Naim Audio, re-engineered with extensive software and hardware upgrades for significantly enhanced performance over the original model. It features a 300 Watt output powered by six custom-designed drivers including two microfiber dome tweeters, two midrange drivers, and a racetrack-shaped woofer, all optimized in collaboration with Focal and Naim's VerVent Audio. The system incorporates a powerful 16-core DSP chip with over 10 times the processing power of its predecessor, enabling playback of high-resolution audio files up to 32bit/384kHz and DSD128. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi (802.11ac dual-band), Ethernet, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Roon Ready, and USB input for direct playback. The Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation supports multiroom setups with other Naim products and compatible AirPlay 2 or Chromecast devices. It features a new illuminated volume dial with proximity sensor and a 15-button touch-sensitive control panel, plus a dedicated remote control. The enclosure is crafted from burnished grey aluminum with optional colored grilles (Olive, Terracotta, Peacock). Dimensions are approximately 21 x 22 x 21 cm, weighing 5.6 kg. This model continues Naim's tradition of combining hi-fi expertise with modern streaming technology for a compact yet powerful music system.
