The Naim Audio NAP 500 DR is a flagship reference power amplifier designed for audiophiles seeking exceptional sound quality and performance. It delivers 140 Watts per channel into 8 ohms and can sustain output into 2 ohms without any discernible impact on performance. The amplifier uses a bridged power amplifier configuration to maximize open and closed-loop speed, incorporating ten stages of local regulation per channel for stable and clean power delivery. It features a two-box design with a separate 500 PS power supply unit that houses a 1,100VA toroidal transformer providing twelve raw DC supplies, optimizing rejection of electromagnetic interference. The chassis is a 25kg brushed, black-anodized aluminum with a distinctive heatsink and a variable speed intelligent fan system for discreet cooling.
