The Naim NAP 250DR is a refined power amplifier featuring 80W per channel output into 8 ohms, utilizing advanced NA009 output transistors originally developed for Naim's flagship amplifiers. It incorporates Naim's discrete regulator (DR) technology for a smooth, stable power supply critical to musical performance. The amplifier is stable into any load down to 2 ohms and includes a large custom-designed transformer capable of delivering 400VA transient power. Its frequency response extends from 3Hz to 50kHz (-3dB), ensuring wide bandwidth suitable for high-resolution audio. The unit has a black powder-coated case with a brushed and black anodized front panel, weighing 15.8 kg with dimensions 87 x 432 x 314 mm. It features a single balanced XLR analogue input with 18kΩ input impedance, gain of +29dB, and speaker outputs via 4mm banana sockets. The NAP 250DR is designed for seamless integration with Naim preamplifiers and is highly regarded for its musical pace, rhythm, and timing, delivering a faithful and uncoloured sound reproduction. It is supplied with a standard interconnect and Power-Line Lite mains cable (UK only).
