About the MELODY

The Nagra MELODY is a Swiss-made solid-state preamplifier that establishes new levels in sonic transparency and exactitude. Built using exclusively discrete components of audiophile quality with individually tested and matched transistors, the MELODY maintains Nagra's traditional ergonomics and signature modulometer on the front face to indicate output signal level. The unit features remote-controllable volume and mute functions, a 12 dB gain boost switch to handle weak output signals, and can be equipped with a high-performance phono stage inspired by the renowned Nagra BPS preamplifier. The phono module accepts both MM and MC signals and features Nagra hand-wound step-up transformers. The MELODY can also accept external power supplies such as the Nagra ACPS II or the new Nagra MPS multiple power supply. Manufactured from 2012 to 2018.
