About the VFS

The Nagra VFS (Vibration Free Support) is a dual-plate system made of solid aluminum plates placed one above the other to isolate sensitive audio components from external mechanical vibrations, such as those from acoustic waves, ground transmission, or mechanical playback. It uses special damping material developed for space applications, with each plate featuring a different cushion to absorb specific frequency ranges. Highly recommended for Nagra tube equipment due to their sensitivity to vibrations. A larger CLASSIC VFS variant exists for deeper chassis like Classic AMP and PREAMP.
