About the M50.2

The NAD M50.2 is a discontinued Masters Series digital music player, CD transport/ripper, network music server, and BluOS streaming endpoint. It combines a slot-loading CD drive with mirrored internal storage, allowing CDs to be played or automatically ripped to a protected music library. It provides digital-only audio output, so it requires an external DAC, integrated amplifier, or receiver with a suitable digital input. The unit supports local USB playback, network shares, internet and subscription streaming services, Bluetooth aptX, and control through BluOS-compatible applications. It has no built-in DAC, analog audio output, headphone amplifier, speaker amplifier, phono stage, or published analog performance specifications.
