The NAD C356BEE is a solid-state Class AB stereo integrated amplifier rated at 80 watts per channel into both 8- and 4-ohm loads (20Hz–20kHz, both channels driven). Using NAD’s PowerDrive topology and a high-current toroidal transformer, it delivers over 200 watts of dynamic power, giving it strong control over demanding loudspeakers. Distortion is kept very low, and NAD’s defeatable Soft Clipping circuit helps protect speakers at high listening levels. Connectivity is entirely analog and includes seven line-level RCA inputs (with two tape loops), a front-panel 3.5 mm input for portable devices, main-in and dual pre-out jacks for integration with external power amps or subwoofers, and terminals for two pairs of speakers (A/B selectable) via heavy-duty binding posts. The front panel offers bass and treble tone controls with defeat, balance control, and a full-size headphone jack. NAD’s Modular Design Construction (MDC) allows installation of optional modules such as the PP375 MM/MC phono stage or a plug-in DAC card, providing a straightforward path for feature upgrades while preserving the core analog design.
