The NAD C355BEE is a stereo integrated amplifier delivering 80 watts per channel into 8 ohms with 0.02% total harmonic distortion from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. It provides seven line-level RCA inputs, including two tape loops with in/outs, plus a convenient front-panel MP (media player) minijack input for portable music players. The amp includes two pairs of speaker outputs (A/B), defeatable bass and treble tone controls (Tone Defeat), and comes with the NAD SR-5 system remote control. Key design elements include NAD’s PowerDrive circuit for increased dynamic power into difficult speaker loads, a distortion-canceling output stage, switchable Soft Clipping to help protect speakers at high levels, and a robust Holmgren toroidal power transformer. Pre-out/main-in jacks allow the preamp and power amp sections to be separated for system expansion.
