About the C 268

The NAD C 268 is a stereo power amplifier designed for high-fidelity audio applications, offering 80 watts per channel continuous power into 4 or 8 ohms with very low distortion (0.003% THD). It can be bridged to deliver 300 watts into an 8-ohm load. The amplifier uses a customized version of the proven Hypex UcD Class D output stage combined with NAD's asymmetrical PowerDrive technology, providing vast dynamic power reserves and efficient, low-noise operation. It supports both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs with input trim controls for gain adjustment, and includes a stereo RCA preamp output for connecting additional amplifiers or powered subwoofers. The C 268 features binding post speaker connectors, 12-volt trigger in/out for system automation, a detachable IEC power cord, and an auto-sense feature with selectable threshold for convenience. It is stable down to 4 ohms and capable of driving demanding speakers with high fidelity. The amplifier measures approximately 17.1" W x 3.9" H x 15.4" D and weighs about 16.1 lbs. It comes with a 2-year warranty and is suitable for traditional stereo setups, bi-amping, or as a slave amplifier in multi-channel systems. The power supply is highly efficient, operating from 100V to 240V AC mains, delivering nearly 200 watts continuous and over 500 watts instantaneous power for musical transients without distortion or compression.
